Author M.L. Brooks a/k/a M.L. Brooks is a writer, author, poet, radio personality, music manager, event organizer and community activist.  Author M.L. Brooks is an author of a Poetry book called Feelings So Deep, Poetry by M.L. Brooks. Her book was published and copy written in 2010.  The book is comprised of a collection of poetry written over a number of years. M.L. Brooks has been doing radio for over three (9) years.  She first began with her own segment on WDJZ 1530 AM called A Poetic Moment With Author M.L. Brooks, where she discussed about current issues and put these issues into a poem on the radio.  She continued onward to be a guest on various local radio stations such as; One Love Radio, WPKN and WVOF.  She moved on from WDJZ 1530 AM  to co-host with DJ Kenny B on a show called World Beat and Classic Urban Showcase on Crazy Vibes Radio out of New Haven, Connecticut, U.S.  She was on radio station WICC 600 AM with her own show The Talking With Author M.L. Brooks Show which was aired on Sunday mornings starting at 5:30 a.m.  The show was a specialty broker show which featured interviews by Author M.L. Brooks of politicians, authors, comedians, musicians and so much more. The Talking With Author M.L Brooks Show has now transitioned to the internet and is aired Live on Facebook starting at 6:00 p.m. on Mondays. The show is also on  Radio1400.AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting at 12 noon. In addition the show is aired online on an internet radio station called BlogtalkRadio on Wednesdays at starting at 6:00 p.m. The show features interviews of singers, dancers, artists, doctors and so much more. The show continues to be diverse and welcoming to people of all different backgrounds.

M.L. Brooks has managed various local acts to popularity.  She has worked with hip hop artists/rappers and reggae artists.  Alongside musicians/entertainers she has helped produce albums that have gained recognition in her community.  She writes music in her spare time. 

M.L. Brooks helped other authors write their own books and helped with writing articles on blogs on the internet.  She is a strong believer in trying new things.  She did photography for and interviewed artists at the McDonald’s Gospelfest.  

M.L. Brooks is also an event organizer whom has produced festivals in the City of Bridgeport and State of Connecticut, U.S. She is the creator and organizer of the Bridgeport Community Festival.  The festival is in its fifth (8th) year.  Each year participants gather from New York, New Jersey Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Thousands come to the event each year to enjoy the music and all its festivities. M.L. Brooks along with her venture M.L. Brooks Productions has produced a Fashion Show which gathered people from the surrounding Tri-State Area.  With the success of the Fashion Show she is looking to produce other events of its kind. M.L. Brooks Productions has also produced the event known Black History Celebration. The event is in its fourth (4th) year. Hundreds of people attend this event which celebrates the history and culture of black people. The event showcases local artists and a diverse group of performers. 

Ms. Brooks is very active in her community.  She is an activist for children’s rights, elder care and women’s rights.  She is a humanitarian and advocates for rights of all people.  She is very active in her church community as she is a leader in advocating for the rights of children.  She actively works with DCF, the Department of Children and Families and a Social Worker to help care for families in need.  She is a caregiver and actively works and participates in events for the elderly.  She has spoken at various events as an advocate for stopping the abuse of battered women. She has actively participated in Habitat for Humanity houses, American Cancer Society Walk, and Crop Hunger Walk.  She is a firm believer in giving back to her community and humanity at large.
