Ayo is a history enthusiast who runs the Flame Tree Collective; a social initiative that aims to connect people to Black History through workshops and events.
She believes that knowing where we come from gives us direction for where we need to go and knowing our stories gives us the roots to grow.
Ayo loves to discuss the history of our people, linking moments of the past with modern day references and analysing the impact it has on our lives today. She makes history exciting as she shows how we are all connected and leaves you wanting to discover more. Black History is not just for people of African descent, it is relevant to all and an integral part of World History.
Ayo hosts the ‘Diasporan Stories’ on Mondays at 8pm GMT where she tells the stories from African History, in a simple and engaging way.
